Down Payment Assistance Programs
The City of Fort Worth Homebuyer Assistance Program (HAP) can provide up to $25,000 in assistance for first-time homebuyers who qualify based on HUD Income Limits per household size. The amount of the assistance will be dependent on sales price and loan amount from the lender. A financial subsidy is available in the form of closing costs and down payment assistance for homes purchased in the Fort Worth City Limits. 3% of the loan amount may be used for closing costs and the remainder for down payment or all of the assistance pay be used for down payment. The City of Arlington Homebuyer Assistance Program (AHAP) provides up to $20,000 in down payment assistance for qualified first-time buyers with a household income that does not exceed 80% of the area median income (e.g. family of 4: $85,350).
